Public Relations Coordinator at Inigo Communications

In my final year at Loyola University Chicago, I had the privilege of working as a Public Relations Coordinator at Inigo Communications. 

 

Collaborating with our Account and Creative Design teams, we created a variety of visual media, promotional & marketing materials, and much more for Inigo's four clients: The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, United Airlines, Flaco's Tacos and Blanchard Realty Group.

Spring 2025

United Airlines

One of the most popular airlines in the United States, United Airlines services over 1.6 million domestic flights each year. With their target audience of "under the wing" employees, including baggage handlers, ground control operators, fuelers and others involved in ground safety operations, our deliverable team was tasked with creating five posters to remind ground safety workers of seasonal personal protective equipment and ground-safety protocol.​

​

Working alongside Public Relations Coordinator Cecelia Olson, we outlined a proposal of work for three total deliverables, including the posters pictured above.

​

We conducted both SWOT and competitive analyses to optimize opportunities for United to reach their target audiences through social media templates and search engine optimization. Through extensive market research and interviews with United Airlines team members, we used real employee safety guidelines to shape both our written copy and design ideas, which were brought to life by Creative Design Coordinator Raegann Leininger​.

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is the largest network of business professionals in the Midwest region.​

​

Working alongside Public Relations Coordinator Stella Jensen, we aimed to enhance The Chamber's social media presence through promotion of The Exchange, their largest networking event of the year hosted at Chicago's famous Soldier Field Stadium.

​

Working on this project only a few weeks before The Exchange took place, we outlined a total of five grid posts to be uploaded to The Chamber's socials with coordinated post dates, optimizing overall audience engagement. We wrote captions to go along with each post, highlighting different events within The Exchange, including local food vendors, ticket purchasing and speed-networking powered by LinkedIn. Our outlines, as well as our copy, were brought to life by Creative Design Coordinator Nick Szewc.

Blanchard Realty Group

Blanchard Realty Group is a one-man realty business ran by Scott Blanchard in the coastal communities of Maine.

​

While Blanchard's third deliverable of the semester was originally going to be an SEO guide, upon meeting with Scott, he expressed his dream of offering free tours to people interested in moving to Maine.  Seeing this as both a great new business venture, as well as an opportunity to set himself apart from competitors, we decided to make this a two-part deliverable.

 

Working alongside Public Relations Coordinator Stella Jensen, we aimed to create an informative and easy-to-digest SEO guide for Blanchard, as well as a sign-up portal mock-up for Blanchard's website, helping Scott visualize what this new endeavor can look like. 

​

We equipped the SEO guide with keywords and meta-tags, offering both example website coding to bolster Blanchard's visibility, as well as explanations of how they work. It was important to us, not only provide Scott with tools to help his SEO, but to explain why implementing these keywords and meta tags would help achieve his goals.

For the webpage mock-up, we began by outlining components needed for the application portal, such as applicant information, a message from Scott, and information on areas of Maine where tours would be offered. We researched each area of Maine where Scott does business and wrote short descriptions for potential clients to familiarize themselves with places they may want to visit. We employed a ghost-writing approach to allow Scott's personability to shine through our copy, as this is a long-standing cornerstone of his boutique realty business. Our copy and outlines were brought to life by Creative Design Coordinator Jaqueline Gotch.

Fall 2024

Blanchard Realty Group

Working alongside Public Relations Coordinator Kate Roudebush, we outlined a proposal of work for three total deliverables, including a complete social media recharge for Blanchard's Instagram and Facebook accounts.

​

We conducted both SWOT and competitive analyses to optimize opportunities for Blanchard to reach their target audiences through social media templates and search engine optimization.

Flaco's Tacos

Flaco's Tacos is a local Mexican chain restaurant with three locations in Chicago, IL. 

​

Working alongside Public Relations Coordinator Kayleigh Johnson, we researched timely and trending memes to appeal to Flaco's Tacos' target audience of Loyola students. We created all written copy for static and video memes, as well as social media captions. 

 

Our team filmed on-site at Flaco's to create a total of two reels, two static memes and one carousel. Click on the photo to view them!

Our goal for this deliverable was to create an informative motion graphics video for new and prospective Chamber members regarding membership benefits.

 

Collaborating with Creative Coordinator Madison Luongo, we worked to craft concise yet informational content to be shown at recruiting and onboarding events.

Ghost Writing for Kevin Killian

Inigo Communications' Fall 2024 Semi-Annual Report includes letters from our Faculty Advisors sharing their experience working with the agency. I had the opportunity to interview Kevin Killian, first-semester faculty advisor and Manager of Digital Health at Golin Global about his experience of transitioning from mentor to Faculty Advisor. Our conversation allowed me the ability to write from his perspective regarding his favorite memories, deliverables and accomplishments from the semester.
